NBC Uncovers Christians in American Military
In a brilliant piece of investigative journalism, NBC's senior investigative correspondent Lisa Myers uncovered a Christian working in the Pentagon. In a shocking expose, she provides video documentation of a General Boykin making overtly Christian statements in public. First aired on October 15, 2003 (with a follow-up report on October 17th), this report will scare you and make you wonder just how many Christians may be working in the United States military. Myers breathlessly documents Boykin's subversive tendencies, his belief that God put Bush in the White House to serve in this time of national crisis, his assertion that Islamics worship someone other than God, and his belief that the war on terrorism is at heart a spiritual war. In a real coup, Myers reveals audio as well as video footage of Myers meeting in public with other Christians and even wearing his uniform while spreading his dangerous propaganda. Myers' report on this latest threat to the Republic was received with solemnity by Tom Brokaw, who clearly understood the premise of the report, that Boykin was a threat and something needs to be done. Thank you NBC for alerting the public to the growing Christian menace. Following that networks lead, the Associated Press, ABC and CNN have picked up the story. Be sure to pass this on to your friends and tell them to watch out for Christians, especially Christians in uniform, we certainly don't want them in positions of authority.

Ok, I'm clearly being facetious, but watching this report was truly a surreal experience. I kept thinking, does Myers know just how not a problem this all is to Christians viewing her report? Does she not realize that the reason Israel and the U.S. are under attack is because this is a spiritual war? Does she not realize that the God of the Koran, called Allah, does not have a son named Jesus, and encourages his followers to kill Christians and Jews? Does she not realize that most Christians totally agree with the statements made by Gen. Boykin that she aired in her report? And does she not realize how absurd it is in this time of war and crisis to suggest that having Christians in positions of power and authority is in any way a problem or threat? This report was a blatant attack on a member of the American military because of his religious beliefs, because he met with other Christians in public and professed his faith, and because he refused to recant his beliefs when challenged. This is yet another example of how the media accords tolerance to religious faiths as long as they are not Christian. They will celebrate Wiccans in the military, but let a general profess his Christian faith and suddenly, this is a problem. I would say the real problem is the anti-Christian bias of the media establishment and I can only hope and pray that there are one or two Christians at NBC who might have a word with Lisa Myers and Tom Brokaw about the tone and substance of this report. It clearly crossed the line.
