U.S. Determined to Oust Saddam Despite Iraqi Offer
The United States said on Saturday Iraq's invitation for talks with U.N. arms inspectors would not sway its determination to topple Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, despite Baghdad's insistence that the offer was genuine. :: This Reuters report is submitted for your war (Matthew 24:6) and Iraq destroyed (Jeremiah 51:29&37) files. :: I have to give credit to Saddam, he is one clever dictator, thought he would throw the U.S. off-balance by maybe inviting the inspectors back in. Like it matters. The mere idea that inspectors can be "invited" back in shows that the inspection regime has failed. It was never meant to be a matter of convenience. I'm glad the U.S. is taking the lead on this because it's clear the Security Council does not mind having a dictator thumb his nose at the world community.
