'EU will benefit from peace in the Middle East'
The Jordan Times reports: "The European Union is keen on playing a larger political role in the Middle East and strengthening its relations with the Arab and Muslim worlds, according to European Parliament President Hans-Gert Pottering. He underlined that the Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean initiative will not achieve its developmental goals without there being real peace in the region."
