My Way News - Turkish police detain 19 in coup plot
My Way News reports: "Turkish police detained 19 officers, including four generals, as part of an investigation into an alleged plot by elements of the fiercely secular military seeking to topple the Islamic-rooted government, the state news agency said Monday."
My Way News - Dissident Iranians take refuge in Turkey
My Way News reports: "At least 4,200 Iranians have fled their homeland since disputed presidential elections in June, according to a list compiled by activist Aida Saadat, who herself slipped across the border into Turkey in December. These refugees have scattered to the United States, Europe and Gulf nations like the United Arab Emirates. Most of all, they have come to Turkey - around 1,150 of them, according to the U.N. refugee agency."
Comment: This is sad to see, the Turkish military appears to be letting Turkey fall to Islam without firing a shot. The irony is the Islamist political party is portraying itself as a defender of political modernization and transparency in an effort to strengthen their EU bid. In reality, the more successful they are at eroding the foundation of Turkey's secular establishment, the less appealing they will be for the EU, which will ultimately deny them admission to the union, pushing them into the Russian-Iranian Gog alliance. And meanwhile, as this process is unfolding, thousands or Iranian refugees are arriving in Turkey, some will surely be spies and provocateurs bent on accelerating the transformation of Turkey.
