The pope is coming to the Middle East. But Christians are heading for the exits - LA Times
The LA Times reports: "Pope Francis arrives in Cairo on Friday — the first visit by a pontiff
to the Middle East’s most populous country in 17 years — at a time when
Christians across the region find themselves under threat by political
repression and violent attacks.
In Egypt, Coptic Christians have been chased from their homes, their
churches and a monastery attacked. In Iraq, Assyrians have been
displaced from villages, whole neighborhoods and business districts
gutted by Islamic State. In the West Bank, Iran and Lebanon, Christians
have grown accustomed to celebrating under guard."
