Muslims end boycott at Jerusalem holy site after security dropped - UPI.com
UPI reports: "Islamic leaders called on followers to return to a key Old Jerusalem
holy site -- known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif and to Jews as Temple
Mount -- ending a boycott after Israel removed security measures there
Thursday."
Comment: I'm not sure what to make of this. Is it an example of Netanyahu choosing appeasement or showing responsible leadership and compromising? No more riots, no intifada, that has to be a good thing, right? Still, didn't it seem like some security measures were warranted after that attack? It's a "holy site" after all, they can't allow attackers to use it as a staging area or holdout. I guess what makes sense in other parts of the world may not apply in Jerusalem.
