6.5-magnitude earthquake rattles western Java - UPI.com
UPI reports: "A 6.5-magnitude earthquake rattled the western part of the island of
Java in Indonesia on Friday, authorities said.
The center of the temblor was situated in the town of Cipatujah, about
190 miles away from Jakarta, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
CNN reported residents in Jakarta evacuated high-rise buildings and
authorities evacuated a damaged hospital in Banyumas."
Comment: The "Ring of Fire" continues to uphold its reputation.
