North Korea calls for end of Korean War ahead of possible Mike Pompeo visit - UPI.com
UPI reports: "North Korea is using a propaganda outlet that targets the South to
promote the signing of a declaration to end the Korean War.
The call for an end-of-war declaration comes ahead of U.S. Secretary of
State Mike Pompeo's possible fourth trip to Pyongyang, Seoul Pyongyang
News reported Thursday."
Comment: It's a bit sobering to realize that the Korean War never officially ended. There was a ceasefire agreement but no official peace treaty. Technically, the the peninsula is still at war. Perhaps the leaders would be wise to negotiate peace and conclude the war while they still have time. Events can always spiral out of control.
