Democratic Republic of Congo Ebola outbreak surpasses 1,000 cases
UPI reports: "The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo reached more
than 1,000 cases over the weekend, international health officials said.
Officials reported 58 new cases over the past week, bringing the total
number of cases in the world's second-largest Ebola outbreak to more
than 1,000, the International Rescue Committee said in a statement."
Comment: It's surprising how little coverage this is generating in U.S. news media. I guess it's just too far away and not sensational enough.
