I applaud G8 efforts to combat poverty. Who could argue with that? But, they are laboring under the assumption that poverty breeds terrorism. This is misguided. There are poor people all over the world, but their response to their situation does not include blowing people up. OBL came from a wealthy Saudi family and yet he still became a terrorist.
