The Jerusalem Post reports: "He went on to deny any Israeli or Jewish historical claim to the city, denying that there ever existed a Jewish temple on the Temple Mount. 'The claims of the Jews are big lies and they have no right to any speck of dust here,' he said."
Comment: Wow, that's pretty amazing stuff. I hope that the learned scholars of both the Israeli and Palestinian academic communities, including historians and archaeologists, will be quick to denounce his absurd claims. Or is it ok now for Palestinians to just make things up? Will scholarly authorities be so fearful of getting jihaded that they don't call them on it?
