Taiwan holds drills to fend against invasion amid China tensions - UPI.com
UPI reports: "Taiwan held drills simulating the repelling of invading forces on
Wednesday, as the country prepared to conduct joint drills with the
United States amid rising tensions with China. [...] Taiwan's military
is expected to conduct more activities that could anger China, including
plans to take part in U.S. naval exercises in the Solomon Islands in
August, according to Taiwanese media."
Comment: Taiwan remains a flashpoint, one that could easily convulse major powers into armed conflict. I'm convinced that China has a long-term plan to annex Taiwan and unless something changes, that would mean war.
