AP reports: "The emergency meeting in Brussels highlighted a rift within the 27-nation bloc between former Soviet satellite nations wanting tough action against Russia and western European members warning against antagonizing Moscow."
Comment: This is an obvious historic tipping point, the EU can choose to become much more assertive or continue to follow the U.S. lead. How the EU acts now will help decide the course of the bloc in the near-term. For all of you who believe in an ascendant Europe, watch carefully.
