AP reports: "Security agents detained an elderly bishop of an underground Catholic church in northern China hours before the closing of the Olympic Games, a U.S.-based group said Monday."

Comment: This is a rather sad ending to the period in which China enjoyed the international spotlight as host of the Olympics. Now that the spotlight is off, I wonder if we can still retain any hope that China will continue a liberal reforming trend that recognizes more human rights?
