The Korean peninsula has remained in a technical state of conflict since the Korean War ended in a truce in 1953. A peace treaty has never been signed."

Comment: The Korean peninsula remains one of the world's tripwires and it's always a bit dicey when they start shooting at each other, even if it is a mistake.
