AP reports: "Hamas forces battled Fatah-linked fighters with mortars and machine guns in a crowded Gaza neighborhood Saturday, leaving at least nine dead in the worst Palestinian infighting in nine months."

Comment: I wonder if this is an old fashioned proxy war? Is the U.S. covertly supporting Fatah and Syria and Iran supporting Hamas? This could easily become the opening battle of a much larger war.
