My Way News - AP Interview: France opposes global role for NATO
AP reports: "France's return has come with conditions: It wants to give Europe a greater say in NATO policymaking, and dispel concerns that its plans to build a European Union defense force would compete with NATO."

Comment: I find this report interesting because it suggests that France will stand in the way of the movement to expand the reach of NATO, to make it a Global NATO, which suggests to me that France is on the wrong side of history. If we accept from Bible prophecy that there will indeed be Mideast peace, that Israel will stand down and become a land of "unwalled villages" then the peace will have to be secured by someone else, and that someone is the Western alliance. NATO has a long way to go before it can do that, including scoring a win in Afghanistan, but in time, NATO will be what the UN could never be, the military arm of the final world empire.
