AP reports: "Egypt has been mediating the talks, which have hinged on whether Hamas has to 'commit' itself to past PLO agreements with Israel or if it could just 'respect' them. The language is sensitive because Hamas, which calls for Israel's destruction, is wary of wording that could convey an implicit recognition of Israel."

Comment: This is such a farce and it would be comical if lives were not at stake. Basically they are seeking the proper wording that will include Hamas in a united Palestinian government that will then seek peace with Israel while not compromising Hamas' refusal to recognize that Israel actually has a right to exist.
