Nigerian Christians Urged to Fight Back
A Catholic archbishop said Wednesday that Christians were "tired of turning the other cheek" to Muslim attacks and blamed the government for deadly sectarian riots after a newspaper article about the Miss World beauty pageant. :: This AP report is submitted for your persecution (Matthew 24:8) files. :: This does not seem right to me. If Christians in Nigeria are tired of turning the other cheek, then perhaps they are tired of being Christians? Perhaps they should look to the early church in Rome for their example of patient endurance even till death. After all, they were being thrown to the lions and they did not fight back. What about love your enemy, or have they forgotten that part of the gospel in Nigeria?
