An Arab Diplomat Decries the Leadership Crisis in the Arab World.
From MEMRI comes these excerpts from a series of articles in the London Arabic daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat. The author basically says that had the Arabs expended on improving their own societies the energies they expended on drumming up the "Palestinian cause," living conditions in the Arab world would be much better than they are today. He openly accuses the leaders of his society with being obsessed--actually, "compelled" would be a better word--with refighting past wars that they have lost, and still losing, while their societies decay around them.::Submitted for your wild man of the desert [Genesis 16:12] files.
