China Extends Text Message Surveillance
AP reports, "Chinese authorities plan to employ new technology to improve surveillance of mobile phone messages amid efforts to intensify the policing of private communications, reports said Friday." :: Mark of the Beast (Rev 13:16-18). :: This is not the usual Mark type news report, it does not deal with commerce or identity verification technology, but it does demonstrate the power of a totalitarian government to control communication, even in the information age.
