Panel backs Korean to succeed Annan - Chicago Tribune
The Washington Post reports: "The UN Security Council voted unanimously Monday for South Korean Foreign Minister Ban Ki Moon to be secretary general, endorsing a discreet political survivor for the world's top diplomatic job. A formal vote by the 192-member UN General Assembly is expected to confirm Ban's selection, perhaps within a week." [Global Government, Rev 13:7; 17]
