AP reports, "About one third of the world's mobile phone users will regularly be watching TV broadcasts on their handsets in two years, which will open up lucrative industries for both content producers and network distributors, said Per Nordlof, Ericsson's director of Product Strategy, at a joint press briefing with Sony in Stockholm." This prophecy is a bit complicated, but the point is that a future prophetic event will happen and be seen by the entire world and people will be inspired to send tokens of joy to others. In earlier times commentators focused on the idea of gift giving and some likened it to a fake Christmas, but I suspect that what people will be sending isn't gifts so much as e-mail, text messages and video clips of the event. It will be a global news event like the world has never before "witnessed." Witnessed, get it?
