AP reports: "Several dozen people - including a pilot, county constable and business owners - insist they have seen a large silent object with bright lights flying low and fast. Some reported seeing fighter jets chasing it."

Comment: The prophetic sign of "signs and wonders in the heavens" has always fascinated me because it's something of a mystery. Or perhaps a cynic would say it's simply subjective. After all, the other cosmic signs are very specific - from signs in the stars to signs in the sun and the moon - we know exactly what to look for. But what kind of signs in the heavens (the visible sky) would cause people to be in wonder and amazement? I think UFO sightings certainly qualify. Of, course, it was probably Venus seen through swamp gas, right?
