My Way News - Group: Bird Flu Pandemic Risk Overblown
AP reports: "Fears of a flu pandemic originating from the deadly H5N1 bird flu virus were overblown, the head of the World Organization for Animal Health said Thursday. [...] H5N1 has infected more than 340 people and killed at least 212 since 2003, mostly in Asia. The virus strain does not easily spread between people, however, and most patients had been infected through close contact with sick poultry."

Comment: This is good news. It confuses me though how some reports can downplay the threat posed by bird flu and other reports can make it seem like a significant threat. Perhaps it simply depends on where you live and how often you handle birds.
