Putin: Moscow is committed to hosting Mideast peace meet - Haaretz - Israel News
Israel News reports: "Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday that Russia was committed to promoting a Middle East peace conference in Moscow, meant to act as a follow-up to the U.S.-hosted Annapolis conference held last November."

Comment: Russia is basically proposing the idea that each of the Quartet sponsors of the current Mideast peace process hold their own conference to advance the process. If this idea is accepted by the stakeholders it will then mean that after the Russian hosted conference, it would then be the EU's turn to host a conference, followed a year later by the United Nations. This scenario offers some very interesting implications for the unfolding of Bible prophecy. Israel has signaled that it does not support this idea and will not back a Russian hosted conference. Time will tell.
