Times Online - ‘Big Brother’ database for phones and e-mails
The Times Online reports: "A massive government database holding details of every phone call, e-mail and time spent on the internet by the public is being planned as part of the fight against crime and terrorism. Internet service providers (ISPs) and telecoms companies would hand over the records to the Home Office under plans put forward by officials."

Comment: The UK is inching closer to a total surveillance society. They already have public security cameras that pretty much guarantee that all public - street level - activities are recorded, now personal communication will be timestamped. They are not recording actual content (phone conversations)...yet. What does this have to do with the MOTB? We are moving toward a society in which one can't engage in the normal commerce of life without being monitored and validated by the system.
