My Way News - Germany blocks Turkey's EU accession talks
My Way News reports: "Germany has blocked the next step in the European Union's membership talks with Turkey over Ankara's crackdown on anti-government protests, a diplomat from an EU nation said Thursday. [...] Pushing ahead with the EU accession talks as scheduled next week would have required unanimous approval at a meeting of top diplomats representing the EU's 27 member nations in Brussels on Thursday."

Comment: This was not entirely unexpected, but it's a significant milestone. It may mark the turning point when Turkey pivots away from the West and toward a rogue alliance with Russia and Iran.Accession talks could well continue, but I'm sure the attitude of Turkey's leaders toward the EU has been fundamentally altered.
