Pestilence

Freeze-dried vaccine may help rid world of polio - UPI
UPI reports: "A freeze-dried polio vaccine that could be used in locations without refrigeration might help doctors conquer the disease, researchers report. [...] Polio is a highly infectious disease that's close to being eradicated, with just 22 reported cases worldwide in 2017. But young children are at risk in countries where refrigeration for vaccines may not be widely available."

Comment: This is good news. Let's hope the anti-vaccers don't object to this new twist on a life-saving vaccine.
