My Way News - Report: North Korean leader alive but ill
AP reports: "The Yonhap news agency cited an unidentified South Korean government official as saying Wednesday that Kim appeared to have suffered a collapse, a term in Korean normally used to indicate a grave illness such as a stroke."

Comment: This could be bad. If Kim is succeeded by one of his sons or a military leader or team of leaders, it could signal a retreat from the nuclear deal as they try to assert their legitimacy within the domestic military. If they believe that Kim's death would weaken North Korea in the eyes of the world, they may press forward with their nuclear program and continue the ruthless military rule that has ruined the economy and impoverished the people. On the other hand, Kim's death may be an opportunity for a new openness and a chance to end Pyongyang's long isolation.
