WorldNetDaily: 10 Commandments showdown tonight
Chief Justice Roy Moore has been, frankly, looking for a place to bring the secularists in the American government to battle. At issue is a two-and-a-half-ton monument to the Ten Commandments, the Declaration of Independence, and other founding documents. He commissioned this monument out of his own salary and had it installed in the Alabama Judiciary Building--after hours, so that it wouldn't impede traffic, which has given rise to a charge that "he installed a religious monument in the building in the dead of night."
