FOXNews.com - Top Stories - Monkeys Move Robot Arms With Their Thoughts
The experiment proceeded thusly:
  1. The two monkeys received EEG implants going a millimeter deep into their brains. Each was then given a task to perform, involving steering a tiny ultralight crane ("robot arm") in return for a sip of juice.
  2. The experimenters, after recording enough of the EEG impulses, disconnected the joystick from the ultralight crane and fed the EEG implants directly to the crane controls. So the monkey could still use the joystick, but now the crane was responding to the monkey's brain and not to the joystick.
  3. Eventually the monkey stopped using the joystick and consciously directed the crane with her thoughts alone, and knew that she was doing it.

The article discusses a perfectly humanitarian application: thought-controlled household appliances or motor vehicles for paralyzed patients. However, I have another application in mind that will go hand-in-hand with the regime of the Beast from the Sea [Revelation 13:1-7].
When the first rumors began to filter out of the Soviet Union some three years ago, our theoretical weapons strategists stood before NATO Command to explain, with much confidence, that it would take the Soviets a minimum of ten years to develop a Mach Five aircraft with thought-controlled weapons systems. I stand before you today to explain, with much regret, that they were wrong.
From Firefox, produced, directed, and starring Clint Eastwood, Warner Brothers Pictures, 1982.
