Mel Gibson's Film Can't Get a Distributor
Newsweek reports that it seems no major studio wants to touch Mel Gibson's latest film, "The Passion," a controversial movie about Jesus' death that has inspired more hostile attention than any movie in recent history. "It's not worth the aggravation," says a studio head. "Even if it makes money, it's not going to be 'Titanic.'" Studios are worried about protests, hate mail and boycotts. :: Submitted for your gospel preached to all (Matthew 24:14) and they will mourn (Zech. 12:10) files. :: I think they are wrong, in the history of celebrity, there has never been a bigger superstar than Jesus. Think about it. You hear his name every day in conversations both sacred and profane, you see his image on products, jewelry, and in all media...two thousand years after his death and resurrection. This movie, when and if it finds a distributor, will be a blockbuster, in the U.S. and in the rest of the world. It will be a phenomenon, just like Jesus was...and still is.
