M2SYS Technology, announced that the Leon County Detention Center in Tallahassee, Florida has selected the M2SYS fingerprint recognition solution for use within its 1,200-bed facility. The biometric system is integrated into the county's correctional facility management software, which was developed in-house.

M2SYS' patent-pending fingerprint recognition solution called Bio-Plugin 2122 enables software developers to immediately implement a complete, seamless fingerprint recognition system, including a high-performance 1:N identification engine. Bio-Plugin 2122 eliminates the system dependencies, extensive development, and specialized knowledge of biometric complexities inherent to fingerprint technology SDKs. This model allows software developers to remain focused on their core product, and alleviates the burdens associated with maintaining an internally developed fingerprint system that is intricately combined with the host application."
