My Way News - US envoy fails to lure Abbas back to Mideast talks
My Way News reports: "President Barack Obama's Mideast envoy failed Friday to lure Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas back to peace talks with Israel, as Abbas stuck to his insistence that an Israeli settlement freeze come first."

Comment: I don't really understand why they insist that Israel make all the concessions. What concessions have the Palestinians made for peace? It seems odd to me that Palestinian demands seem to be driving the process. I mean, it's not like they have any leverage or credibility. From an anthropological or historical perspective, they've never even been a "nation" nor are they united now. And yet they demand that the international community reward them with a state of their own? What have they done to demonstrate that they are worthy of statehood? The international community should make demands on the Palestinians, establish benchmarks and standards to demonstrate worthiness, so that statehood is the final step in a process of growth and development and not a prize collected by the perpetrators of longest running good-cop (Fatah) bad-cop (Hamas) scam in history. And yet, as clear as it seems that the Palestinians are spoilers, BP suggests that there will come a time when Israel is universally seen as the bad guy. That process seems to be well underway.
