My Way News - European unity tested over crucifixes in classroom
My Way News reports: "An emotional debate over crucifixes in classrooms is opening a new crack in European unity. It all started in a small town in northern Italy, where Finnish-born Soile Lautsi was so shocked by the sight of crosses above the blackboard in her children's public school classroom that she called a lawyer to see if she could get them removed. [...] 'This is a great battle for the freedom and identity of our Christian values," said Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini.'"

Comment: Twilight for Christianity in Europe? Not if the Italians have anything to say about it. Why do minorities (of any kind) feel entitled to dictate the culture of the majority? What an extraordinary victory the enemy gained when it became incorrect in the West to say that a country (any country) was a Christian country. There are many other countries in the world (followers of other "great" religions, for example) who have no such qualms about naming, claiming and exporting their religion.
