AP reports: "As many as 50 percent of Iraq's Christians - which once numbered between 1 million and 2 million - may already have left the country, according to a report issued in May by the commission. Christians are at particular risk as perceived supporters of the United States and its Western allies, said a Minority Rights Group report."
