My Way News - Russia Sends Long Bombers Back on Patrol

AP reports: "President Vladimir Putin placed strategic bombers back on long-range patrol for the first time since the Soviet breakup, sending a tough message to the United States on Friday hours after a major Russian military exercise with China. [...] As of the beginning of the year, Russia had 79 strategic bombers, according to data exchanged with the United States under the START I arms control treaty."

Comment: The Cold War has started again, it's only a matter of time before events force the politicians to acknowledge this fact. Putin's drive to restore Russian power is setting a course for Russia to fulfill the prophetic role foreseen by Ezekiel - leader of a military alliance bent on attacking Israel. Why? What would signal Russian dominance more than ejecting the U.S. from the Middle East? And, of course, securing all those energy resources for their anti-American axis would probably factor into that as well. But why attack Israel? After decades of U.S. patronage (go great eagle!) Israel is the dominant regional military power, and will only grow stronger in the near future (Guardian Unlimited - Us To Give Israel Record Military Aid). Some have also speculated that Israel will become oil rich and a valuable prize for conquest. There will be no controlling the Middle East without controlling or defeating Israel and that makes Israel a target far more than the ahistorical claims of the Palestinians.
