My Way News - Russian military pulls out of key Georgian areas

AP reports: "Columns of hulking, smoke-belching Russian tanks rolled out of key positions deep inside Georgia Friday as Moscow declared it had pulled its forces out following the worst confrontation between the Kremlin and the West since the Soviet collapse. But the United States, France and Britain protested the withdrawal was not complete."

Comment: As the Russia-Georgia War ends we find Russia in a much stronger position and the U.S., NATO and the EU much weaker. Russia demonstrated that it could do what it wanted to do and no one would oppose them. They could have stayed and occupied Georgia and the great military powers of Europe would not have intervened. This marks the official reemergence of Russia as a great power and it also marks a change in Russian relations with Israel (which helped train the Georgian military). We can now expect Russia to be much more assertive as a regional power, including in the Middle East, trending up towards the Ezekiel invasion.
