Mideast Diplomacy On The Move
As the Israel Defense Forces continued Monday to crack down on the "terrorist infrastructure" in the West Bank and Gaza, Palestinian and Israeli officials prepared to meet later in the day to discuss how to quell the latest wave of violence. On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon signaled a new willingness to pursue cease-fire negotiations, even as Israeli forces pounded Palestinian targets following weekend terror attacks that left 13 Israelis dead. I have to say, I like this new approach. Perhaps Sharon has taken a page from Arafat's playbook, and learned how to say one thing while doing another. Submitted for your battle for Jerusalem and covenant with many files.
