Suicide Bomber Kills At Least 7 in Israel
An attack by a suicide bomber on a bus in northern Israel killed at least seven people and wounded 30 others Wednesday morning, a police spokesman said. The attack came hours after Palestinian officials said they are committed to a "peace option." The militant Islamic Jihad group claimed responsibility for the 7:10 a.m. blast on a highway south of the town of Afula. The explosion burst the sides of the pink-and-white bus and sent passengers flying. Despite the blast, a crucial round of cease-fire talks was expected to take place later Wednesday in the presence of U.S. mediator Anthony Zinni. Palestinian security officials have said a cease-fire declaration is possible after the meeting. Submitted for your battle for Jerusalem and covenant with many files.
