Archaeologists Find 'Supreme' Zeus Temple
From the Associated Press, by way of New York Newsday. This "supreme Zeus" represents the ancient Hellenic progress from polytheism to monotheism. (The Roman equivalent of Hypsistos Zeus would later be called "Jupiter Optimus Maximus.") The statue and temple date from 400 BC. (To put that in perspective, Alexander the Great conquered the Middle East in the name of Greco-Macedon in 332 BC.)::Submitted for your idols that can neither hear nor see nor walk [Revelation 9:20] files.
